Since 1999, BMW M has always taken the lead whenever the world’s best motorcycle pilots take to the race track – the BMW M Safety Cars with an entire fleet of vehicles and right out front. The MotoGP™ fascinates every season with dynamics, high performance and innovation. Attributes which are unequivocally connected to BMW M. At the BMW M MotoGP™ Experience, you can directly take part in a weekend full of high-voltage excitement and BMW M Power.

Safety Squad.

BMW M hits the gas with the new BMW M5 MotoGP™ Safety Car, that had its debut in Misano. The current season also saw the new BMW XM Label Red MotoGP™ Safety Car on the track. In addition, the BMW M2 MotoGP™ Safety Car is part of BMW M's safety fleet as well. Also available: the BMW M3 Touring MotoGP™ Safety Car and the BMW M 1000 RR Safety Bike. The BMW M 1000 RR is the first M model from BMW Motorbikes and will be seen in a racing version in the Superbike World Championship. The BMW i4 M50 Safety Car leads the field in the electric motorcycle series FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup, which takes place on the support programme for MotoGP™.

BMW M5 Safety Car

In action from September 2024: The BMW M5 Safety Car is the new lead car in MotoGP™. Based on the BMW M5 Sedan, BMW M continues with this innovative model to rely on cutting-edge hybrid technology, as it did with the predecessor BMW XM Label Red Safety Car.

The BMW M5 MotoGP™ Safety Car also features a special graffiti-design livery. It is derived from the design of the BMW M Hybrid V8 race car, which BMW M Motorsport competes with in the FIA World Endurance Championship with races like the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the IMSA series in North America.

The BMW XM Label Red MotoGP™ safety car had a leading role on the track in the 2024 season. For the first time, a high-performance automobile with an electrified drive, the performance-enhanced M HYBRID system, led the field in the premier class of motorcycle racing.
