Age restrictions
Generally speaking, anyone who holds a valid driving licence and is fit to drive can benefit from our training courses. They are especially suitable for beginners, young motorists and those who do not drive frequently. 17-year-olds can take part in training courses for young drivers accompanied by the person whose name is entered in their driving licence. Here the same special conditions apply to the escort as to the young driver. In this case, we hope you appreciate that registrations must be made in writing. We will also be glad to provide you with telephone support.
Air travel
Flight bookings are not included in our training services. The training price does not include your individual travel to and from the airport, accommodation before and after the event or any related activities. However, we can provide you with a discount code for reduced airfares via Leav.com. You will receive this code once you have completed your booking. Please note that the codes are personalised and only valid for registered participants. They cannot be shared with anyone else.
Important: Our transfers and schedules are based on Leav Aviation's current flight schedule and arrival times at Arvidsjaur Airport. If you choose a different flight connection, please ensure that you arrive in Arvidsjaur no later than 12:30 on the day of arrival. Otherwise our transfer service will not be available. We are happy to assist you in booking an individual transfer, but the cost of this must be paid on site.
Booking confirmation and full details of the training course
You will receive a booking confirmation not later than three working days after booking. Approx. 14 days before the event we will provide you with exact details of the program, the hotel and how to get there. Bookings placed at short notice will be confirmed by other means if necessary.
Booking double rooms
For training courses which include overnight accommodation, we will be pleased to book a double room for you rather than a single room. We would kindly ask you to pay the difference at the hotel.
Cancellations
For the exact cancellation fees in case of cancellation of a training place, please refer to our Terms & Conditions.
Cancelling accommodation arrangements
Generally, training courses which include overnight accommodation can be booked without accommodation. In this case we reimburse you with € 50.00. However, we recommend you to make use of the accommodation provided as it gives you the opportunity to engage in discussion with others.
Catering
All soft drinks during meal breaks are included in our course prices. On our adventure trips, all drinks with meals are included. Please refer to individual course descriptions for details.
Childcare
Unfortunately, we can only offer this service on request for special events or incentives. Those aged under 16 may only enter the training location if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Getting there
Instructors
We only use professional instructors with appropriate qualifications. For organisational reasons, however, we cannot guarantee specific persons.
Insurance
Generally, all participants and the vehicles provided by us have accident insurance through BMW. If you bring your own vehicle, this will be covered by your regular insurance as in road traffic. For details see our Terms and Conditions.
Insurance bonus
Whether or not concessions are offered after completion of one of our courses depends on your insurance. Please contact your insurance company for further details.
Non-BMW drivers
The road safety benefits you gain from our BMW M Driving Experiences are open to every licence holder, whether you drive a BMW or not. We always welcome the opportunity to convince (not-yet-BMW) drivers of the value of our automobiles.
Participation during pregnancy
Particular care is taken in the case of pregnant women, as liability for physical harm and damage to health cannot be excluded. It is not excluded in the General Terms and Conditions, however we do recommend refraining from participating if certain individual exercises (emergency braking, oversteer) may put the health of both mother and child at risk. Should the client still wish to participate, we require a medical clearance form. In terms of accident insurance, no restrictions are applied. The pregnancy also has no effect on the motor third party insurance taken out on the car. As such, there is nothing against participating from an insurance point of view.
Participation with private car
For insurance reasons, it is not permitted to use your own private car on our training courses. However, we would be happy to provide you with a proposal for an individual, personal training course. Third-party products are not permitted on our premises.
Physical handicaps
We will be pleased to provide you with automatic vehicles on request (provided the vehicle is available with automatic transmission). In the case of special conversions you can take part with your vehicle by prior agreement.
Alternatively, we offer Safety for People with Disabilities:
Privacy/SSL encryption
Our online forms offer a fast, safe and convenient way of registering for a training course. All the data you enter are transmitted with SSL, an established data encryption method used successfully for the secure transmission of data in the Internet. The encryption process makes sure that the data you submit cannot be read or accessed by unauthorised third parties.
Rates and vehicles provided
Our rates include the relevant VAT. In the case of incentives we will be pleased to provide a detailed offer. For all training courses we provide BMW vehicles including fuel. Two participants share one vehicle.
Registration deadline
We have to make certain preparations for you to be able to participate in a training course. For this reason we would ask you to send in your registration as early as possible. If you wish to book five days before a course starts, please contact us by telephone.
Theory
Depending on the course type, theory sessions can last between 40 and 120 minutes per course. In the theory sessions you learn about the fundamentals of driving physics and discuss the details of the course programme.
Training requirements
If you hold a valid driving licence and are fit to drive, we look forward to welcoming you to our training courses. Consult our course descriptions to find out whether previous attendance at other training courses is required for certain courses.
Voucher
We are happy to issue vouchers for a Euro amount of your choosing. You can use these vouchers as part payment towards the cost of any training course that we offer. Vouchers can of course be transferred to other individuals who fulfil the requirements for BMW Driving Experience courses. The normal period of validity applies.
Weather-related cancellations
The BMW M Snow Experience courses in Austria take place on prepared ice and snow surfaces. These courses can only be held if the track is safe to drive on without endangering the participants. This depends on the weather conditions during the days and nights prior to the event and on the day of the event itself, which must allow for proper track preparation. While BMW M Driving Experience will make every effort to ensure this, the safety of the participants and the quality of the training are paramount. For this reason, the BMW M Snow Experience in Austria may be cancelled on short notice. If the training is cancelled, you will be informed immediately. However, BMW M will not be responsible for any costs related to your travel, accommodation or meals. Please check your emails regularly from three days prior to the training and make sure we can reach you by phone.
Weather conditions
As with regular road traffic, our training courses take place in all weather conditions. However, in the event of extreme conditions we reserve the right to cancel in the interests of your safety.
17-year-old with driving license
It is also possible to take part in our BMW Safety training courses with a provisional driving licence, which allows you to drive at the age of 17 when accompanied by an adult. However, in accordance with the conditions of §48a of the driving licence, you may only drive when accompanied by an approved person. This person must, among other things, fulfil the following prerequisites: to be in possession of a valid driving licence for at least five years and to be at least 30 years old. The accompanying person will take part in the training course as a fully-fledged participant, but will only pay the YOUNG reduced fee..
