BMW M Motorsport and BMW M Team WRT will be competing in both classes of the world championship: with two BMW M Hybrid V8s in the hypercar category and two BMW M4 GT3s in the LMGT3 class. The undisputed highlight of the season is the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where for the first time since the victory of the legendary BMW V12 LMR in 1999, a prototype from BMW M Motorsport will be fighting for overall victory. The two BMW M Hybrid V8s, one of which will compete at Le Mans as a BMW Art Car, will be driven by six BMW M works drivers. Valentino Rossi will make his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the wheel of one of the two BMW M4 GT3s. The FIA WEC calendar features a total of eight race events.
