Carbon-fibre components.
The weight-optimised front splitter made of carbon-fibre provides more downforce on the front axle. The special-edition model’s bonnet, front air intakes, exterior mirror caps and rear diffuser are also made from carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP).
LED headlights with yellow icons.
In a clear reference to motorsport, the LED headlights of the BMW M3 CS Touring glow with the same distinctive yellow light as GT racing cars. The front end of the car is defined by the weight-minimised, ultra-stripped-back and frameless BMW M kidney grille.
M light-alloy wheels in Gold Bronze.
The forged M light-alloy wheels in an exclusive design feature a matt Gold Bronze or matt Black finish. Measuring 19 inches in diameter at the front axle and 20 inches at the rear, the wheels are fitted as standard with track tyres (275/35 ZR19 at the front, 285/30 ZR20 at the rear). As an alternative, there are sport tyres or Ultra-track tyres on the options list.
Roof spoiler with red surround.
The roof and model-specific roof spoiler are in Black high-gloss and bring an impression of elegance to the bold exterior. Another exclusive design feature of the BMW M3 CS Touring is the red surround for the spoiler.
M exhaust system with titanium silencer.
The car’s emotionally stirring engine note is the work of the M specific exhaust system featuring electrically controlled flaps, a titanium rear silencer with weight-minimising design and – in customary M fashion – two pairs of tailpipes painted in matt Black.
Model lettering with red contour line.
For the first time on the BMW M3 CS Touring, black model lettering at the front, side and rear is bordered by a red contour line. The striking design of these lines continues on the BMW M kidney grille at the front, the roof spoiler at the rear and in the interior.
DRIVEN BY MOTORSPORT.
The M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder of the BMW M3 CS Touring features superior power delivery and the striking characteristic M sound. The engine delivers an outstanding 405 kW (550 hp) and a maximum torque of 650 Nm. The 3.0-litre unit has had track performance as its raison d’être from day one of its development. Indeed, it also provides the basis for the engine in the BMW M4 GT3 race car.
The optional lightweight M precision strut for the engine compartment increases torsional rigidity and improves handling through dynamically taken curves.
OPTIMISED HIGH-PERFORMANCE.
The BMW M3 CS Touring features optimised components for even better driving performance in all areas of the chassis. The individually tuned axle kinematics and bespoke wheel camber settings, dampers, auxiliary springs and anti-roll bars serve to optimise steering precision, transmission of lateral control forces when cornering, spring and damping response and wheel location.
The model’s exquisite balance of performance and everyday usability is maintained: in the BMW M3 CS Touring, a concentrated dose of M feeling meets a variable-usage interior whose storage capacity below the high-opening tailgate can be expanded from 500 litres to a maximum 1,510 litres.
EXCLUSIVE AND DRIVER-FOCUSED.
The interior of the BMW M3 CS Touring blends a sports-car cockpit designed to exude maximum performance with digital technology and exclusive design features. The electrically adjustable and heated M Carbon bucket seats have integral head restraints, an illuminated “CS” model badge and surfaces in Merino leather. Their exclusive Black/Red design is also adopted by the rear seats, while all the door panel trim is covered with black leather.
The M Alcantara steering wheel in three-spoke design – with its flat-bottomed rim and red centre marker in the 12 o’clock position – brings authentic racing car flair into the cockpit. Further M-specific details are the red “CS” badge on the centre console, M seat belts and door sill plates with model lettering.
TECHNICAL DETAILS.
The Adaptive M suspension allows to adjust the damper characteristics to suit any given driving situation, increasing driving dynamics and comfort. In addition to the standard COMFORT setting for increased driving comfort, the SPORT programme offers firmer damper settings while with SPORT+, the vehicle can be used on the circuit. This makes the BMW M3 CS Touring perfectly equipped for all driving situations – whether on the road or on the racetrack.
