Perfection in the snow.
Professional drivers face particular challenges when driving in winter conditions. The BMW Professional Snow Training course is an intensive two-day programme designed to perfect your driving skills on snow. For the 2024/25 winter season, group sizes have been reduced so that all participants can benefit from more driving time and more intensive practical training.
This will not only increase your confidence behind the wheel, but also strengthen your mental resilience, enabling you to operate safely in even the most challenging winter conditions. With a balanced combination of driving dynamics theory and challenging practical application of what you've learnt, you'll refine your anticipatory driving, quick situational awareness and full vehicle control when braking, changing lanes, swerving and handling oversteer.
In Sölden, you'll enjoy a truly unique BMW Professional Snow Experience: the winter training ground at almost 3,000 metres above sea level provides the ideal environment to gain more safety and confidence for the colder months - all while enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the Ötztal Alps.
€ 2,390 | 2 days & 2 overnight stays | max. 8 participants per group

AGENDA
Arrival day: You will arrive individually and begin with a safety briefing on winter driving dynamics. A group dinner completes the day and provides an opportunity to socialise with other participants.
Day 1: After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you'll travel by snow groomer to the training area on the Sölden glacier. Here the practical part of the BMW Professional Snow Training course begins with driving exercises on snow. You will learn and refine your steering and braking techniques, including emergency braking with and without ABS. On the specially prepared dynamics area, you'll perform traction exercises and experience how your vehicle reacts to oversteering and understeering. You'll also practice braking and steering with and without DSC (Dynamic Stability Control), as well as a forward turn. A dedicated off-road course allows you to put what you've learned into practice, including correct vehicle positioning and control on steep inclines and slopes. Theoretical input rounds off the first day, deepening your understanding of the various techniques and manoeuvres.

Our training courses in the Alps are weather dependent and may be cancelled at short notice for your safety, e.g. if there is a risk of avalanches. In such cases we will be happy to provide you with day passes and meal vouchers - please remember to bring your ski or snowboard equipment.
