Sport.
The BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 with “Sport” design characteristic has a finish in Marina Bay Blue metallic, while both sides of the car boast a huge 46 in the darker Tanzanite Blue metallic. A specific highlight of this version is an accent strip over the door frames painted in bright yellow.

Style.
The “Style” design variant presents a full-body finish in matt Frozen Tanzanite Blue metallic, with the 46 in Frozen Marina Bay Blue metallic on both sides.

BLUE AND YELLOW.
What both designs share are numerous design features in yellow. The BMW M kidney grille frame and a V spoke on the forged M light alloy wheels – with the latter in typical motorsport fashion indicating the position of the tyre valve – come in this vivid colour. The brake callipers, painted in bright yellow bearing an M logo, are also a nod to Valentino Rossi's traditional colour combination. The carbon roof which – like the sides of the car – is painted by hand, boasts a large VR46 logo, naturally in yellow, and a Valentino Rossi signature. The tailgate features an additional VR46 lettering.

The yellow accents continue in the interior of the BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 which is predominantly kept in Night Blue. The M Carbon bucket seats come with Merino leather upholstery and the Black/Night Blue colour combination. The yellow Alcantara shoulder area creates a matching contrast. The headrests, like the door sill trims, feature a prominent VR46 logo. Furthermore, the M Alcantara steering wheel with three-spoke design and a flat-bottomed rim comes with yellow contrast stitching and a yellow centre marker at 12 o’clock. On the carbon centre console, specific labelling indicates the exclusive number of both design characters.

TECHNICAL DETAILS.
The beating heart of the BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 is the high-revving 3.0-litre, six-cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology which was designed for the racetrack in the first place. Thanks to an increased maximum charge pressure of the two mono-scroll turbochargers to 2.1 bar and model-specific tweaks to the engine management the special-edition’s power unit now knocks out 405 kW (550 hp) which is delivered to the smart M xDrive all-wheel drive system and the active M differential via an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission. The spontaneous power development and optimised traction translates to a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, and from 0 to 200 km/h in 11.1 seconds. The top speed of the special edition model, which comes with the M Driver’s Package as standard, is electronically limited to 302 km/h.

VALENTINO ROSSI – THE EXCEPTIONAL TALENT.
Valentino Rossi rode with the number 46 for his entire extraordinary career, the figure has become even more of a trademark than his nickname “The Doctor” or “Il Dottore”. Since the 46 had already been his father’s number when he was racing motorbike, Valentino Rossi also opted for #46 when he started his career – and never even swapped it for the number 1 that is typically awarded to a World Championship winner for the next season. With nine world championships and no fewer than 115 Grand Prix victories to his name, he is one of the three most successful motorcycle racers in history.
When the curtain fell on his motorcycle career at the finale of the 2021 season, Valentino Rossi finally turned his full attention to automobile racing, having already attended multiple tests in Formula 1 race cars and made guest appearances in rallies and endurance races. Since the start of the 2023 season, he has been a BMW M works driver, plying his trade at the wheel of a BMW M4 GT3 for BMW M Team WRT in varying series such as the GT World Challenge Europe and the FIA World Endurance Championship, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
