Introducing the BMW E30 M3 Ronnie Fieg Edition and BMW M4 Design Study by Kith. BMW M and New York-based lifestyle brand Kith announce a sensational collaboration with the presentation of two exclusive showcars: two one-of-one models of the new BMW M4 Competition and the BMW E30 M3 from 1989. The unique pieces are exclusive painted in Cinnabar Red - a color that adorned the BMW E30 M3 when it was introduced in the 1980s. This paint finish is no longer available for the regular BMW range, but was selected here specially for the BMW M4 Competition Coupé to emphasise the connection between the two cars. With numerous exclusive details in the exterior and interior, the show cars express their outstanding design.

Some of my favorite memories from growing up was going to visit my grandfather and riding around in his BMW’s in the 1980s. I remember he had an E21 320i and that his prized possession was an E30 M3. These moments in my life really shaped my passion for BMW, so working on this project with them has brought everything full circle.
ORIGINAL.
It all started with the BMW E30 M3 from Kith founder Ronnie Fieg, who sent the vehicle to BMW Germany to have it rebuilt from scratch using original BMW parts. The original parts required were sourced from various BMW archives to ensure that each element was 100 percent consistent with the original 1989 design specifications. The goal was essentially to create a brand-new vehicle. But that was only the beginning. With the idea of looking at the BMW E30 M3 through the Kith lens, the vehicle was modified with very special components and refined into a unique masterpiece. The exclusive Kith parts include, for example, parts such as the BMW emblem on the hood, trunk, rims and steering wheel, which embossed the Kith lettering. In addition, there is the special Kith motorsport badge on the trunk and a very special leather interior embossed with Kith monograms.

EVOLUTION.
The new BMW M4 Competition now represents the further evolution of the BMW E30 M3 from 1989 - transformed for the future. Kith and BMW once again worked closely together to transfer the special design details of the original to the new BMW M4. First, the M4 was painted in the same iconic shade of Cinnabar Red, which is now no longer available in the BMW range, making both vehicles even more exclusive. The other Kith details were also transferred to the new model, including the Kith motorsport badge on the trunk and the leather interior embossed with Kith monograms and illuminated Kith headrest badges.

The tie-up with Ronnie Fieg and Kith is a great opportunity for BMW M GmbH to bridge the gap between the original BMW M3 and our new BMW M4 Competition Coupé from the sixth generation of this iconic model range.
