BMW i4 M50 xDrive Motorraum

The superior electric drive of the BMW i4 M50 xDrive creates a particularly intense driving experience. The M model is powered by a 190 kW (258 hp) BMW M eDrive electric motor of the latest generation at the front axle and its 230 kW (313 hp) counterpart at the rear. Together, they put a combined maximum output of 400 kW (544 hp) on tap when using the M specific boost function. The electric all-wheel-drive system allows drive torque to be adjusted with incredible speed and precision, thereby maximising dynamic performance, traction and handling stability at all times in accordance with the driver’s inputs, road surface conditions and driving situation. Utilising the Sport Boost function, the BMW i4 M50 xDrive sprints from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds – and on to a top speed of an electronically limited 225 km/h.

TECHNICAL DETAILS:

Adaptive M suspension.

Excellent dynamics, exceptional roadholding and improved comfort on long journeys: The BMW i4 M50 xDrive boasts a bespoke Adaptive M suspension with individually configured springs and dampers, specially designed anti-roll bars and an additional spring strut tower brace in the front end.

Variable sport steering.

The variable sport steering with Servotronic creates a direct and agile steering response and ensures that less physical effort is required to turn the wheel. It reacts to the angle of the steering wheel with varying steering ratios. This improves handling when driving more dynamically and reduces the effort needed to steer when parking and turning.

M Sport brake.

The M Sport brake has four-piston fixed calipers at the front and single-piston floating calipers at the rear in Blue metallic with the M logo and features large brake discs to ensure an outstanding braking performance.
